The technology and reliability of a "great" plant... in 20 sqm.
The automatic-cycle continuous system PEGASO 500 is the sole small-dimensioned plant nowadays on market that guarantees the same performance and final product quality of bigger dimensioned plants produced by Officine Meccaniche Toscane S.p.A..
The technology and the materials fitted together in Pegaso 500 have generated a plant with professional features in reduced dimensions.
It operates in a three-phases system and it produces oil without the use of vertical centrifugal separators. One of the main exclusive feature of this plant is the very small mixing water consumption. Small volumes of water togeether with the total lack of a final separator mean a lower environmental impact.
Due to its compactness and modularity, no masonry, no plumbing and no electrical work are necessary for setting up this plant; it can be easily positioned on a small surface (20 sq.m.).
The plant is made up of:

a charge hopper;
a screw elevator for the olives transport to the deleafer-washing group;
a deleafer;
a hydropneumatic washing-machine;
a screw elevator for the olives transport to the crusher;
an innovative two-stage mechanical crusher, entirely made up in stainless steel: the fruit pulp is removed at the first stage; the crushing of the stone and of the residual pulp is completed at the second stage. The two-stage crushing prevents the oil to acquire too strong and bitter taste;
a stainless steel entirely built kneader with a total capacity of 1 tons divided in two stages (one of 0,6 tons, the other of 0,4 tons); it is equipped with a variable speed monoscrew pump. Due to the shovels geometry, the kneader allows a perfect mixing up of the paste and a quick pouring out from a stage to the other;
a horizontal centrifuge (decanter) that extracts the oil from the olive paste without centrifugal separators, through a patented device and with a low water consumption.

For the total quality and hygiene all parts in contact with the olives paste are in high quality stainless steel.
