All the factors of an excellent extraction
The decanter is the heart of the modern olive oil extraction process. It is a centrifugal extractor with a horizontal axis that separates the olive paste into its main components: oil, vegetation water and pomace.
In two-phases decanters it is possible to work without adding mixing water. This extraction is more sustainable and ensures a higher polyphenolic content.
Two-phase extraction technology with our TBD decanters
Our TBD (Twin Bowl Decanter) decanters work in two phases system, without the addition of mixing water, ensuring greater sustainability and quality of the olive oil. No final centrifugal separators with a vertical axis are required: the elimination of this machine streamlines the production process and optimizes the quality of the product.
The special feature of TBD decanters is the drum design: the oily paste runs the entire length, increasing the residence time in it. A unique clarification way takes place into the TBD drum. The oily must enters a second drum located in the center and conveys in reverse along its entire length. This system completely eliminates mucilage and suspended bodies.
Process optimization
Our TBD decanters offer manufacturers a truly innovative and flexible tool that allows them to obtain an oil with superior organoleptic characteristics.
The double drum system and optimized clarification path allow to recover a greater quantity of oil than other similar systems.
The elimination of the final separation stage from our systems ensures greater sustainability even for the highest production capacities.
