This decanter is the core of the Pegaso 1000 system and offers an efficient and innovative extraction process. It guarantees high quality olive oil, making the flow easier thanks to the elimination of final separators and enhancing the yield.
This centrifugal extractor is equipped with TBD (Twin Bowl Decanter) technology and works in two phases, without the addition of mixing water, ensuring greater sustainability and quality of the olive oil.

Automatic-cycle continuous system without final separators: It does not require vertical axis final separators for cleaning the oil at the outlet. This is possible by a renewed and exclusive design of the auger and the oil outlet system.
High purity outlet oil: The oil coming from the decanter is perfectly clean and free of all impurities, and there is no trace of oil in the waste water.
Patented oil outlet system: The decanter is equipped with a new oil outlet system from the chamber, using an original patented device. This device allows “soft outlet” and exit without flapping, with improvement in quality.
Higher quality of final oil: Removing the separator from the process helps to obtain a high quality final product. This results in a higher content of compounds that make the quality of the oil high and allow it to keep its characteristics unchanged over time.
Process shortening: The elimination of final separators leads to a shortening of the production process, both in economic terms and in processing times.
Less product heating: The absence of the final separators contributes to less heating of the final product and to increase the presence of polyphenols, that means an increase in the storage life of the oil.
FAQ Pegaso 1000 decanter
What is the Pegaso 1000 Decanter and what technology does it use?
The Pegaso 1000 Decanter is the heart of the Pegaso 1000 system and features TBD (Twin Bowl Decanter) technology: it is a twin-bowl decanter that works in two phases without adding mixing water, ensuring greater sustainability and olive oil quality.
What are the technical specifications of the Pegaso 1000 Decanter?
Production capacity 1,000 kg/h, installed power 7.5 kW, bowl inner diameter 255 mm, bowl length 1,255 mm. The specifications are indicative and the actual capacity may vary depending on the condition of the olives.
How does the Twin Bowl Decanter (TBD) work?
In the TBD decanter, the paste travels along the entire length of the bowl, increasing the residence time and recovering a greater quantity of very high quality product. The oily must then enters a second, low-speed bowl located at the centre: travelling through it in reverse, it removes mucilage and suspended solids, ensuring a final oil of the very highest quality.
Does the Pegaso 1000 Decanter work without mixing water?
Yes. The TBD decanter works in two phases without adding water. This translates into an oil with a higher polyphenol content (not diluted by the vegetation water), more sustainable processing and a shorter process in economic terms and in time.
What makes the oil leaving the Pegaso 1000 Decanter of superior quality?
Several factors: the patented oil-collection system (gentle collection without splashing), the elimination of the final separator (less heating, more polyphenols), the twin bowl that clarifies by removing mucilage, and perfectly clean oil at the outlet free of impurities. The vegetation water at the outlet contains no trace of oil.
